Welcome to My 5 step video series to help you set up a regular Meditation practise

A recent study by US Neuro scientist Sara Lazar found that people who regularly meditate demonstrated the brain function and capacity of people half their age and she also demonstrated that people who took up meditation were able to change their brain function to reflect the positive changes detected in people with a long standing regular meditation practice. These changes were detected within a relatively short space of time and included:-

  • Increased capacity for memory
  • Increased ability to learn
  • Increased ability to empathise with others
  • Increased ability to see things from a different perception

All of this meant that regular meditation resulted in:-

  • Feeling calmer
  • Feeling more relaxed
  • Feeling more in control
  • Managing daily situations better

All of this is Free and available to all of us, so why don’t we do it?? I think it’s because it can be difficult to set aside time to “do nothing” or dedicated to Self-care as well as a lack of knowledge and confidence about what Meditation actually involves.

This series of step by step guides to simple meditation will support you to get started and removes some of the pressure of “doing it right” and therefore not doing it at all!!

The most important aspect of Meditation is to let go of any expectations other than enjoyment and calm and sitting quietly with yourself – it’s simple yet extraordinarily powerful.
